Dennis Skip Hathaway

Mr. Dennis ""Skip"" Powell Hathaway, 69, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1939 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to George and Carol Hurd Hathaway. Mr. Hathaway was a member of South Fork Church of Christ and was retired from Midstate Petroleum in April 2008. Mr. Hathaway was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sherri Bain Hathaway of the home; two daughters, Katheryn Arrowood (husband Bruce) of Tunkhannock, PA and Heather Taylor of Tulsa, OK; one son, Greg Hathaway (wife Christy) of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Arrowood, Andrew, Griffin and Benjamin Hathaway; two sisters, Karen Reed (husband Clare) and Susan Buckel (husband Fran); brother, Scott Hathaway. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Charles Belch, Minister officiating. There is no stated visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 5950 Fairview Rd., Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28210.
