Dennis Kallimanis

Mr. Dennis Kallimanis, 61, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Tuesday evening at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1955 in Freeport, NY to Alexander and Anastasia Gumas Kallimanis. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ann Petitjean; one daughter Claire McCaa and husband Joshua of Columbia, SC; a son, Alex Kallimanis of Raleigh; brother Stephen Kallimanis and wife Christine of Old Bridge, NJ; two sisters Pamela Kallimanis and spouse Katrina Foster of Brooklyn, NY and Diane Halka and husband Christopher of Garden City, NY. Dennis was an avid cyclist, chemist, computer engineer, environmentalist, gardener and care-giver. He spent his life doing the things he loved and bringing anyone into his fold that would follow. He was a passionate man, a believer in the biggest and smallest parts of the universe, and whatever holds them all together. His radiant personality will leave a void in those that knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire those that remember him as he was; a free thinker, scientist, father, friend and husband. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
