Mrs. Diana Lynn Stuebinger Lodding, 59, of Winston-Salem, was called away on Monday, October 2, 2017. She was a best friend, sister, aunt, and cousin that will be greatly missed.
Diana was born in Aurora, Illinois and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1976. She was married on April 25, 1981 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora, Illinois to Gregg Stanley Lodding. He was the son of Adolph C. Lodding and Claire Pressy. Gregg Lodding passed away on August 4, 1994. Diana was an avid traveler and traveled to many countries with her loving siblings and devoted friends. In 2005, Diana met her loving friend James Whitehead at Wachovia Bank where they both worked in the Business Credit Area. Together they enjoyed, traveling, wine tasting, movies and weekend trips to the surrounding area.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Dwayne Stuebinger. Surviving are a special friend of twelve years, James Whitehead of High Point, four sisters, Janice Paul and husband Roger of Mountain Home, AR, Pamela Spokane of Washington, Cheryl Stuebinger of Mountain Home, AR, and Lori Stuebinger of Mountain Home, AR; eight brothers, Dennis Stuebinger and wife Marie and Dan Stuebinger and wife Valinda of Yorkville, IL, Robert Stuebinger of Montgomery, IL, Paul Stuebinger of Baraboo, WI, Larry Stuebinger and wife Sophie of Aurora, IL, Scott Stuebinger of Foreston, IL, Kevin Stuebinger of Racine, WI, and Bryan Stuebinger of Flippin, AR, and a special niece, Jessica Jakushev of Atlanta, GA.
Diana's love for all the people in her life was reflected in her kind acts, her devoted attention, her deep understanding, and her unwavering concern has many mourning for the emptiness that now remains in many hearts. Jessica Ann Jakushev, her niece, will remain forever loved; as deeply in heaven as she was on earth. Diana Lynn Lodding was an angel to many on earth; God has many plans for her in heaven.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:45 AM -11:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home with burial to follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
