KERNERSVILLE, Dominick C. Carbonari, age 76, died suddenly of a short term illness, on November 27, 2013. Dominick moved to Kernersville twelve years ago from Brick, NJ where he retired from working on Wall Street for over forty years. Dominick worked for the Kernersville Parks and Recreation Department for ten years and retired in April of 2012. Dominick enjoyed attending his grandchildren sporting events and all their school activities. He was a member of the senior softball teams of the Mock Beroth Bombers, who won a gold medal at the national championships this past July in Ohio. His team also won a silver medal at the state championship games in Raleigh this September. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Minnie Carbonari and two brothers, Anthony and James Carbonari. Dominick is survived by his wife; Joan, daughters; Cynthia Razik (Stephen), Suzanne O'Keefe (Cory), Donna Weinstein (Jeff), Sons; Anthony Carbonari, Frank Carbonari (Yulia), Brother; Raymond Carbonari (Jeanette), Sister; Marie Gerig and six grandchildren; Brandon Razik, Erin O'Keefe, Kyle Razik, Sean O'Keefe, Anthony Carbonari, Jr. and Kimberly Carbonari. A memorial service honoring Dominick's life will be held Monday December 2, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Newton Cowan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Moses Cone Cancer Center in Greensboro, NC
