Donald Paul Allen

Mr. Donald Paul Allen, 77, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1937 in Surry County to Ruth Eleanor Waller and Paul Butner Allen. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Robin Allen. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Sloan Allen; three daughters, Paige Russell and husband Gray, Angie May and husband Phil, Beth Davis and husband Jeff; five grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Allen and wife Pat, Wayne Allen and wife Jeanette; one sister, Marianne Hale and husband Harold. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Pastor Jenna Gorgan officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30AM until 11:30AM Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 8710 Meadowbrook Dr., Tobaccoville, NC, 27050.
