Donald Lee Chapman

Mr. Donald Lee Chapman passed away April 23, while in the care of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Donnie was born June 15, 1939. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Daddy Don Porter and Moma Mae Tipton Brannock; two children David Chapman and Donna Mullis. Surviving are his wife Kathy of 38 years; his stepson Matthew Gaither (Kristie); his grandchildren Kelly, Tyler, Lucas, Evan, Madison, Palmer, Taylor, Britney, Tyler, and Ryker; two sisters, Connie Floyd (Calvin) and Kathy Guarnaccio (Dominick); and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Park 2730 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27127, with Pastor Gordon Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest, NC, 3330 Shorefair Drive, Winston Salem, NC 27105. The family wants to thank Dr. Anthony Kummer, Nurse Karen, and his staff for over 30 years of excellent care and all the staff at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
