Donald D. Reeser, D.V.M. Dr. Reeser (OSU '49), 87 died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8:35 p.m. He practiced small animal medicine in Pittsburgh for 10 years, Allison Park, PA for 15 years and Bakerstown, PA for 9 years. Dr. Reeser was the first veterinarian to teach the animal tech. course at the Median School for Health Sciences in Pittsburgh and developed the original course curriculum. For 5 years he did relief work within a 50 mile radius of Pittsburgh. He was the first chairman of the PA Vet. Med. Assn. Continuing Education Committee and in 1973 received the PA Veterinarian Of The Year award as a result. He served on the PA Board of Examiners for a 4 year term. He and his wife, Helen, who predeceased him, retired to NC. He was an avid woodcarver and donated many dozens of carving to charities in addition to selling many. He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughters, Kathrine of Columbus, OH, Susan of Chapel Hill, NC; son, David of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
