Donald Ray Hackett

Donald Ray Hackett, 75, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Mr. Hackett was born October 4, 1950, in Forsyth County, to Quincey Arthur Hackett and Alice Irene Bodford Hackett. Donald was a devoted pastor of Open Door Baptist Church for many years. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Hackett; and two sisters, Linda Gammon, and Martha White.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Lynn Browder Hackett; one son, David Hackett (Luci); five stepchildren; one brother, Frankie Hackett (Diane); and two sisters, Nancy Hackett and Debrah “Debbie” Zimmerman.

A memorial service will be held 2PM Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Open Door Baptist Church in Winston-Salem with Pastor Bob Whitaker and Pastor Jason Holley officiating.
