Donald Holston

Donald Wayne Holston, 72, of Mocksville, passed away on September 19, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem. Donald was born in Winston-Salem on May 6, 1946 to Raymond E. Holston and Helen Yates Holston.  Don graduated North Forsyth high school in 1964 and went on to graduate Gaston College with a degree in Production and Manufacturing Technology. Don married Gail La Von Clayton Holston on May 18, 1968.  Don began working at Ingersoll-Rand in Mocksville in 1970.  Don worked as a Manager of Service Operations from 1975 until his retirement in 2007. Surviving to treasure his memory are his wife and best friend of 50 years, Gail LaVon Clayton Holston; his beloved son, Benjamin Holston and precious daughter-in-law Pearl; precious granddaughter, Kimber Grace; precious grandson, Claymore Patrick; brothers Roger Holston and Paul Hepler and wife Kay; and mother-in-law, Mildred Clayton. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Mocksville, with Rev. Dana Fruits officiating.
