Kernersville-Mr. Donald Robert Hylton, 86, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice. He was born January 3, 1932 in Randolph County, NC the son of William and Odessa Tuttle Hylton. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, a retired meat cutter and spent his latter years working for LabCorp then Vestal Buick GMC where he left behind many friends that loved him. He loved yardwork, flowers. model cars and had a passion for his grandchildren and their sports. Donald was a humble man of strong faith; who was a true family man. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Matthew James Hylton and a brother Bill Hylton. Survivors include his wife, Frances Bean Hylton; four children, Eric Hylton (Sharon) of Kernersville, Kathy Montgomery (Bobby) of Winston-Salem, Renee Huffman (Jeff) of Kernersville and Bill Hylton (Dusty) of Mayodan; a sister, Ramelle Starnes of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held with full military honors at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Gardens of Memory- Walkertown with Pastor Joey Yokeley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7027 Albert Pick Rd. Ste. 104, Greensboro, NC 27409. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
