Donald “Marty” Delaney Martin, Jr.

Kernersville - Mr. Donald ""Marty"" Delaney Martin, Jr., 53, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Beacon Place Hospice Home in Greensboro. Donald was born September 21, 1960 in Forsyth County to Donald Delaney Martin, Sr. and the late Esqueritta M. Biddix. Mr. Martin worked for Gilbarco for over 33 years, and loved riding his motorcycle, the beach, White Lake, and most of all his children and grandchildren. Surviving are; one son, Donald D. Martin III (Stephanie), two daughters; Whitney Holt (Zack), Chelsea Byrd (David), two sisters; Donna Hudson (Clay), Debbie Martin, one brother; Doug Martin, three grandchildren; Alexia Martin, Lacey Martin, Hartley Holt, Aydan Byrd, and many special nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Frances Beal. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel by Pastor Jeff Broadstreet. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt Gur Cemetery.
