Donald Romine

Mr. Donald Quentin Romine, 84, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home. He was born in Licking Co., Ohio the son of the late Leonard Fillmore Romine and Lela Darlene Cline Romine. Don served our country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Army as a Warrant Officer. After his military service, Don retired from the Civil Service in the state of Ohio.  He was a member of New Home Masonic Lodge #338 in Ohio for 57 years and was an honorary member of Rock House Ruritan Club in Pilot Mountain. Don is survived by his wife, Mary Bowman Romine; two daughters, Vickie Romine and Dixie Romine; a son, Jeff Romine; a grandson, Ethan Romine; a granddaughter, Meaghan Romine; and a grandson, Cody Ballinger; four step-daughters: Donna Bowman Edwards (Jonathan), Penny Joyce (Rickie Felts), Jackie Miller (Mike), and Linda Brown; one stepson, David Smith (Cookie); and extended family, including grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Don’s life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Marshall Gordy and Jonathan Edwards officiating. Military Rites will be provided by American Legion Post #290 of King and Masonic Rites will be provided by Pilot Mountain Masonic Lodge #493 A.F. & A.M. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Brims Grove Baptist Church, P.O.
