Mr. Donald Anthony Schweighart, Jr., 58, of Clemmons passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was born October 29, 1958 to Donald Anthony Schweighart, Sr. and Irene Koster Schweighart in Passaic County, New Jersey. Donald graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1980 and worked for the Center for Creative Leadership for 18 years. He was an active parishioner and Eucharistic minister at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Most importantly, he was a loving and proud father that will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Michael Schweighart, and a step-sister, Mandy Moser. Surviving are his father, Donald Anthony Schweighart, Sr. and wife Frances; a son, Patrick Schweighart; a daughter, Elizabeth Schweighart; four brothers, Joseph, John, Thomas, Richard and wife Traci; a sister, Katherine Mary York and husband Ronny; a sister-in-law, Teresa; three nieces, Melissa and husband John, Jennifer, and Kendra; four nephews, Joshua, Matthew, Connor, and Noah, and a great nephew, Alexander. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with Father Brian J. Cook officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Bishop Begley Parish Center. A private committal service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church columbarium.
