Donald "Don" Eugene Snider

Mr. Donald ""Don"" Eugene Snider, age 72 of King passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Don was born in Stokes County, February 14, 1943 to Herman T. Snider and Maude May Southern Snider. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in King, served eight years in the US Air Force, had two tours of duty in Vietnam, retired from R.J. Reynolds with 20 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Post 290 of King. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Don is survived by his wife, Linda Snider. Two children; Dina (Tommy) Bowman and Richard Snider. Three grandchildren; Bryson and Chase Bowman and Slate Snider. Three brothers; Joel Edwards and Sherry Snider, Jimmy Snider and John and Hazel Snider. Four step-children; Becky (Randy) Wall, Tracy Shoemaker, Theresa Whitman, and Michelle (Ken) Boles. Six Step-grandchildren and two Step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Don will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church in King by Dr. Bart Milleson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 290 of King. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 725 West Dalton Road, King, NC 27021.
