Donald Allen Spaugh

Donald Allen Spaugh, 88, of Lewisville, passed away on January 27, 2026, at Friends Home West in Greensboro, NC. He was born on December 26, 1937, in Winston-Salem NC to the late Robert Glenn and Mabel Gregory Spaugh. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Parham Spaugh. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, East Bend, NC. He is survived by his sister, Brenda S. Bodford, and her husband, Alvin M. Bodford, of Greensboro, along with several nieces and nephews. Donald was a graduate of Lewisville High School and attended Forsyth Technical Community College where he later volunteered as an instructor. He was interested in auto mechanics from a very early age and eventually owned Shore’s Garage in Lewisville. Donald was involved in auto racing for many years and most recently worked with his good friend, Bill Wilder.

 A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church, 6321 Old US 421, East Bend NC 27018.
