Donna Wood Ayers

Mrs. Donna Wood Ayers, 79, of Winston-Salem passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was born January 17, 1935 to Omar and Bessie Wood in Boone, North Carolina. Donna enjoyed annual family trips to the beach especially, Nag's Head. She loved beautiful flowers in the springtime and also enjoyed listening to opera music and watching movies. Dancing was another one of her favorite pastimes. In fact, she met her husband, Paul at a local dance. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Paul Theon Ayers, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
