Mrs. Doris Ann Jackson Burrow, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was born June 23, 1936 in Surry County, to the late Joe Ceffes Jackson and Della Mae Inman Jackson. Doris was a member of Jefferson Christian Church in Rural Hall. First and foremost, she was a homemaker. Doris also worked at Hanes Hosiery and was the secretary for Burrow Plumbing Company. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Burrow; son, Danny Burrow; sister, Jo Martin; and brother-in-law, Paul Martin. She is survived by her son, Landon Burrow (Annette); daughter, Lisa Smith (Leroy); five grandchildren: Melissa Burrow, Matthew Burrow, Shannon Smith, Ryan Holloway, and Rachel Burrow; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Burrow and Amara Brie Holloway; special friends: Richard and Judy Shore, Mickie Burrow, Rod and Marcia Bandy, Doug and JoAnn Burrow and Mary Adler; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Jefferson Christian Church with Steve Cook, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
