Doris "Dottie" Casper Wise

Doris “Dottie” Casper Wise, 85, passed away on March 6, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1938, in Winston-Salem to Mary Pettigrew Casper and Norman Woodrow Casper, Sr. A lifelong Winston-Salem resident, Dottie retired from Wachovia / Wells Fargo Bank following a long and rewarding career. She enjoyed visiting friends and neighbors, and going on frequent, local outings with her son, Jeff. Dottie will be remembered for her sweet spirit and caring nature. In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Wise; and a brother, Norman “Tink” Casper, Jr. Surviving are her son, Jeff Wooten; stepdaughter, Sherry Wilson (Steve); step granddaughter, Leeann Kiger; and step great granddaughter, Ariana Kiger. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. John E. Hackworth, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
