Doris June Hansen

Doris June Hansen passed away peacefully on June 28, 2017 at Genesis Assisted Living in Mooresville, NC. She loved the water and frequently recalled many happy times camping at Gage's Lake in Illinois as a child. Later, she enjoyed spending time at Badin Lake. Miss Hansen passed along her father's bakery talents to her young cousins, Beth and Jenny, who continue her tradition of Christmas cookies today with their children. Miss Hansen retired from Integon Corporation, where she worked for many years.
Miss Hansen was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ida (Hagstrom) Hansen and her close cousin, Arthur Hagstrom and his wife Margie. She is survived by two cousins, Beth (Hagstrom) Perryman and husband Drew; Jenny (Hagstrom) Prosser and husband Eric; and their children, Jason and Haley Perryman, and Audrey and Adam Prosser.
A family graveside memorial service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity UMC, 3819 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
