Doris Thornton Kittle

Ms. Doris Thornton Kittle 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born in Forsyth County on July 30, 1929 to Jessie and Fallie Thornton. She was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years. But most importantly, she was a loving mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Kittle is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a son Robert Kittle and wife Tessa of Winston-Salem, a daughter Kim Brown and husband Shannon of Winston-Salem, five grandchildren Blake and Taylor Kittle, Kasi Plant, Kelli Patterson, and Colby Morton, and a brother Robert Thornton and wife Nancy of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 6:00-8:00pm.
