Doris Newsom Tucker

Mrs. Doris Newsom Tucker, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Bermuda Commons.  She was born in Forsyth County on October 23, 1935, to the late Melvin Lee and Elsie Wheeling Newsom.  Mrs. Tucker loved to read and was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church.  Preceding her in death was her husband, Thurman Tucker and a son, Dereck Thomas Daniel.  Surviving are a daughter, Sally Fearrington; two sons, David Daniel (Rose) and Doug Daniel (Mary); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
