Doris Walker Sizemore

Mrs. Doris Walker Sizemore, age 86, of King passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 02, 2014. She was born in Forsyth County on April 11, 1928 the daughter of the late Annie Sell Walker and Thomas Blackwell Walker. Mrs. Sizemore worked at Western Electric for 8 years and later retired from E.E. Shore Insurance Company with 28 years of service. She was a member of Poplar Springs Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sizemore was preceded in death by her husband, Gorrell Vance Sizemore on May 29, 1992; two brothers, Charles and Kenneth Walker; and two sisters, Lois Walker Walker and Ruth Walker Covington. She is survived by her two sons, Randall Van Sizemore and Neal Walker Sizemore and wife, Mary Beth; her granddaughter, Ashley Kelsey Sizemore; and one sister, Sarah Walker Lawson.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4 at Poplar Springs Church of Christ with Ministers Ralph Sproles, Chuck Bower, and Robin Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 3 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
