Doris Biesecker Stimson

Mrs. Doris Biesecker Stimson, 101, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at her residence.

Doris was born May 30, 1925, in Davidson County, NC, to the late Early Ray Biesecker and Tempie Alma Everhart Biesecker.

Mrs. Stimson was employed with the United States Government for many years in various administrative positions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 79 years, Richard “Duker” Stimson; son, Kyle Stimson; four brothers, Sidney Biesecker, David Biesecker, Don Biesecker, and Joe Biesecker; and two sisters, Betty B. Leonard and Martha B. Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Patsy B. Grubb; her brother, Charles F. Biesecker; her cousin and great friend, Connie Gatz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Lewisville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Philip Barnes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 11:15am on Saturday prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.

Mrs. Stimson’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers of Home Instead and Karen Laney for the compassionate and loving care provided to Doris.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Lewisville Baptist Church, 125 Lewisville Clemmons Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023.
