Doris Tucker

Mrs. Doris Adams Tucker, 92, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018. She was born October 24, 1925 in Patrick County, VA to Callie Hilton Adams and Walter William Adams. She was a lifelong member of Cottage Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Tucker, Sr.; two sisters and one brother. Surviving are her son, Norman Tucker, Jr. (Debbie) of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Kevin Tucker (Morgan) of Franklin and Kelly Stilwell (Patrick) of Lincolnton; one great grandson, Callum Tucker of Franklin; and one sister, Claris Wright of Patrick Springs, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. James Percival and Mr. Jerry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice.
