Doris Williams

Doris Williams passed with peace and grace in the early morning hours on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. She was the only child born to the late Ada Mae (Cleary) and Dewey Garland Veach on February 13, 1932 in Davie County where she lived her early years. She later moved to Winston Salem where she called home.
After retiring from AT&T, Doris's love for antiques kept her busy traveling from town to town always looking for that rare antique McCoy piece or Currier and Ives print to add to her collections.

Doris loved estate sales, long walks around the neighborhood, planting flowers, and visiting the local farmers market. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Doris took the time to stop and enjoy the warm sunshine shining on her face. She always had a chocolate bar hidden in the kitchen and her bird feeders were never empty.

She was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Henry Williams and only son, Scott Dwayne Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Sophia, Elias, and Sadie Williams all of Elkin, NC.
