Dorothy Browder

Dorothy Mae Hauser Browder, age 94, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Priddy Manor in King.  Dorothy lived the past several years in the King, Tobaccoville area.  She was born February 14, 1924 to Henry W. Hauser and Blanch Kirby Hauser.  She graduated from Old Richmond High School.  Dorothy retired from R.J. Reynolds after 40 years of service.  She and her husband lived in Tobaccoville where they enjoyed traveling and where she was an active member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  She was loved by many and brought a smile or hearty laughter to all who knew her.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde M. Browder; twin brother, Donald Gray Hauser (wife, Irene), brother, W. Lauriston Hauser (wife Wilma), and sister, Mattie Kathryn Hauser McGee (husband William).  She is survived by special nieces and nephews, W.C. McGee (wife Diane), Kaye Hauser, Deborah Hauser Harden (husband Tommy), William Andrew “Andy” Hauser (wife Joan), Ellen Asbury (husband Bobby), and Michael David Hauser (wife Beth).  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she was a life-long member with Pastor Sam Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 in the fellowship building.  The family would like to extend special thanks to Barbara Adams, Janet Salladay, Jerry Hall, Billie Kennedy, and Kevin Green for their loving friendship and support over many years.  In addition, special thanks to Priddy Manor for their loving and caring staff.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Mt.
