GREENSBORO – Dorothy Barfield Comer, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Dorothy was born on October 21, 1941, in Columbus County to Carl Grady and Cora Fairfax Barfield. She loved cooking and baking, especially making cakes to share with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Dillon; a granddaughter, Rachel Weitman; and five brothers.
Surviving are her son, Andy Dillon; three grandchildren, Alexandria Dillon, Matthew Dillon and Colton Weitman; one great grandson, Adonis Weitman (Kristina); one sister, Mildred Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
