Dorothy Hutchens Howell

Mrs. Dorothy Hutchens Howell, 86, died at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on September 2, 2016. Dorothy was born on July 22, 1930 in Yadkin County to Blanche and Ray Hutchens. She was a lifelong member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and canning. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lenair Howell; one grandchild, Joseph Howell; and two sisters. Surviving are two sons, Jerry Howell (wife Linda) and Michael Howell; three grandchildren, Suzanne Gray (husband Wesley), Christy Hollar (husband Jay), and Lance Wagoner (wife Leah); and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, September 5, 2016, at Clemmons First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2016, from 1:30pm-2:30pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
