Dorothy Nell Wilson

Kernersville – Dorothy Nell Wilson, 84, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born on June 11, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late Cletus Ray and Nellie Bodenhamer Wilson. Dorothy was full of life and had a genuine care for others. She loved to go shopping, spend time with her family, and just have a good time. Dorothy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will surely be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lesa Hodges (Roger); two sons, Michael Peeples, and Mark Peeples; six grandchildren, Brandi (Lance), Misti (Matt), Josh, Teresa (Richie), Ryan (Kelsey), and Steven (Amy); eleven great grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Katelyn, Shawn, Bionca, Alexis, Jacob, Keri, Ryan Jr., Gavin, and Noah; two brothers, two sisters; and special friends, Wendy Uttley (Doe), and Sandra Chavez.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Chris Hauser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center.
