Dorothy Agnew Myers Weavil, 74, affectionately know by all as ""Chippy"", went to heaven on Friday, June 16, 2017, surrounded by her husband and daughter, after a very short illness. Chippy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 1, 1942 to Ralph Agnew and Dorothy Saunders Myers who gave her the foundation to build upon to be the wonderful, caring and giving person she was. Chippy married her one true love, Jeffrey Wayne Weavil, on March 27, 1965. They finally settled in the Winston-Salem area where they have remained since. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with and forever made it better. She taught school for 50 plus years and after retirement continued to volunteer and substitute at her grandson's elementary school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kinsey Taylor Sink. Surviving family includes her loving husband of 52 years, Jeff Weavil; daughter, Kim Sink (Frank); two grandsons, Anderson ""Andy"" Sink and Corey Sink; one brother; and a host of nieces, cousins, other family members and very dear friends. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Highland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Randy Harris officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Parklawn Memorial Park.
