Dorothy Weick

Mrs. Dorothy Britt Catlett Weick, 86, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at her home. She was born July 4, 1931 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Daniel Harley and Nina Flippin Britt. She worked at Reynolds Tobacco for 17 years before leaving to be a housewife and take care of her family. Dorothy would do anything for anyone and would never say "no". Her sons were her pride and joy to whom she devoted her life, along with the rest of her family. We truly lost an "Angel". She is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Thomas Edwin Catlett and Robert Herman Weick and a brother, Harley "Doc" Griffin Britt. She was a loving mother to her children, Mike Catlett of Kernersville, Mark Catlett and wife, Pam of Winston-Salem and Kevin Weick and wife, Heather of King; her step-children, Barbara Sorkin of Greensboro, Ben Weick of Abbeville, SC and Bruce Weick of Massillon, OH.; other survivors include her sisters, Cornelia Pope of Lexington, Geraldine Smith of Tampa, FL, Virginia Thompson of Winston-Salem and Shirley Tuttle of Indialantic, FL; a sister-in-law, Delphine Britt of Midway and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Harold Fletcher officiating.
