Douglas “Doug” Jay Anders, 60, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at his home. He was born June 11, 1964, in Forsyth County to Roy Franklin and Martha Creasman Anders. Doug was a very faithful and gentle man. He was faithful to his family and wife. Doug was faithful in his service for the Lord. He was gentle and treated everyone with kindness. He never met a stranger and considered everyone a friend. Doug’s greatest passion was his call to preach, and he preached every opportunity he got. His second greatest passion was his wife and family. Doug loved spending time with them and having get togethers. His third passion was his hobby. He loved to be outdoors, running, hiking, or cycling. Preceding him in death was his father and a brother, Mark Anders. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Lisa Anders; two sons, Derek Anders (Jenny) and Ethan Anders (Kate); two daughters, Courtney Speer (Tyler) and Emily Hall (Caleb); 16 grandchildren and a sister, Angie Mabe (Dwane). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Maple Lawn Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC. A burial will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
