Drama Judith Bryant Whitt

Mrs. Drama Judith Bryant Whitt, 88, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 7, 1938, to the late Wilbur Wilson Bryant and Gertrude Josephine Forkner Bryant in Forsyth County, NC.

Drama graduated from Gray High School in Winston-Salem, NC, before working as a bookkeeper for the majority of her life. She would eventually retire from her bookkeeping career while working at Clemmons Nursing Home. Drama loved God and her family and was a faithful member of Linville Forest Church of Christ in Kernersville, NC.

In addition to her parents, Drama was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 devoted years, Jerry Lee Whitt; son, Anthony “Tony” Whitt; brother-in-law, Ronnie Whitt; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Whitt.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Burnette; grandchildren, Wesley (Heather) Burnette and Sherri Whitt; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaac, and Olivia Burnette; brother-in-law, Harold Whitt; sister-in-law, Jean Whitt; and nieces, Suzanne Brant, Christi (Randy) Slayton, and Tracy (Chris) McKee.

The family would like to thank Drama’s caregivers, Connie, Marta, Pat, and Haley for the wonderful care and support over the past few years, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Drama was loved by all who knew her. She gave so much of herself to care for her family and for others and will be so deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Parklawn Memorial Park with Dennis Conner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Linville Forest Church of Christ, 450 Linville Road, Kernersville, NC 27284, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to the Mental Health Association of Forsyth County, 1509 S Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
