Duane Peterson

Kernersville - Pastor Duane Richard Peterson, 82, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at Meridian Center in High Point. Duane was born on January 29, 1935 in Rock Island County, IL to the late Richard and Esther Nolin Peterson. Duane was the Pastor of many churches from coast to coast, serving for 45-1/2 years in the ministry. He graduated, Magna Kum Laude, from Glendale Theological Seminary with a Doctorate of Ministry.

Duane is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara J. Peterson; his daughter, Lisa K. Paden (Scott) of Charlotte; his son, Joel D. Peterson (Judy) of Redlands, CA; 5 grandchildren, Cameron, Zachary, Cassie, Tiffany, and Trevor; one sister, Darlene Schmidt, and a brother, Ralph Peterson, both of FL.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Israel Mora officiating.
