Dura Davis

WALKERTOWN- Dura Jane Hammock Davis, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was born December 22, 1925, in Forsyth County to the late Elmer Hammock and Beatrice Disher Hammock. Dura attended Oak Grove Moravian Church in Walkertown.
In addition to her parents, Dura was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Vernell Davis; daughter, Sandra K. Davis Norton; sister, Geneva Biby; two brothers, Maynard and Clarence Hammock.
Surviving are her son, David Davis (Harriet) of Greenville, NC; her daughter, Mary Nell Davis of Raleigh; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Tom Leonard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Services in Knightdale.
