Dwayne Phillip Bryant

Mr. Dwayne Phillip Bryant, 77, passed away July 30, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born April 8, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late James Olin Bryant and Hazel Wood Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a proud husband, father, and Papa. He enjoyed golfing, horses, watching John Wayne movies, gardening and farming. He was a master wood worker and loved cooking breakfast and making pies for everyone. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Bryant. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Evans Bryant of the home; two sons, Travis (Patti) and Barry (Sarah) of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Soren and Oliver; a sister, Diana (Jeff) McCann of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Folye and Brad (Mary) of Wilkes County. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in State Road, NC with the Rev. John Attaway and the Rev. Dan Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Winston-Salem, 3175 Maplewood Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
