Earnie Jolly

Mr. Earnie Arliss "Bud" Jolly, 77, died on March 15, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. Arliss was born in Iredell County on April 6, 1940, to Fred C. and Nellie Jane Johnson Jolly. Arliss loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. He was a US Army Veteran. Arliss was very personable and never met a stranger. He loved his job, coworkers, and Tarheels. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and Nascar. Arliss was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Peggy Marie Campbell Jolly; one son, Jonathan "Jonny" Jolly; and one brother, Jack Jolly. Surviving are one daughter, Jane Urban (John); three grandchildren, Katie Urban, John Urban, and Helena Jolly; one brother, Jim Jolly; four sisters, Lois Connor, Dot Jolly, Cathy Elliott, and Pat Guy; and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Father Brian Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
