Ed Dill, Sr.

Mr. Ed Thomas Dill, Sr., passed away Saturday afternoon September 29, 2018 at Lincoln Rehab Center in Lincolnton, NC. Ed was born in Cabarrus County on June 27, 1932. He was a loyal member of Robinhood Road Baptist Church. Ed was a down to earth humble man, respectable husband, and extraordinary father, that always tried to put his wife and family first. You could always catch Ed meeting someone new, giving them a piece of candy and telling them God loves them too. Ed was the rock of the family. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary D. Green; and step daughter Patsy Tate. Ed is survived by his loving wife Ada Threatt Dill; son Ed “Thomas” Dill, Jr. and Rhonda Allen; stepson Jeff Harrington; son in law Billy Tate; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday October 3, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
