Edgar LaVerne Hall

Mr. Edgar LaVerne Hall, age 88 of Rural Hall passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Mr. Hall was born in Forsyth County, May 26, 1929 to Zeb Vance Hall, Sr. and Cora Alice Tuttle Hall. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, a veteran of the United States Army, a former member of the Rural Hall Volunteer Fire Department and the Rural Hall Lions Club. Mr. Hall retired April 1, 1986 from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 40 years of service. In addition to his parents Mr. Hall was preceded in death by one sister, Adeline Hall Kiser and two brothers; Zeb V. Hall, Jr. and Rupert T. Hall. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 69 years of marriage, Doris Brittain Hall of the home. One daughter, Debra M. Hall of Graham, NC and one son, Michael LaVerne Hall of Atlanta, GA. One granddaughter, Hayley Merrell Hall. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mr. Hall will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Eddie Honeycutt.
