Edith Clark

Edith Virginia Myers Clark, 94, of the Arcadia community, died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Novant Health-Forsyth in the Palliative Care unit. She was born August 17, 1923 in Davidson County to S. Clifton and Lessie Green Myers. Mrs. Clark was the oldest member of Friedberg Moravian Church and continued to be an active member of the Willing Workers/Bible Class. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband Frank Leo Clark of 61 years, son Philip Clark, a brother Richard Myers and sister Doris Myers Hill. She is survived by 3 sisters, Lois Dale of Winter Springs Florida, Rachel Vernon and Stamie Moore, both of Winston-Salem, daughter Barbara Clark Littlejohn (Duwayne) of Spartanburg, SC, sons Roger Clark (Donna) of Midlothian, VA and Franklin Clark (Margie) of Arcadia, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren whom she adored. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Friedberg Moravian Church. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 or the charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living for the love and care they have shown our mom over the past 16 months, what a blessing you were to us!
