Edith Lois Williams Edmonds

Ms. Edith Lois Williams Edmonds, 81, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Village Care of King. She was born September 27, 1941, to the late Robert Williams and Maude Williams Meacham . She retired from Inmar after many years of service. Edith enjoyed baking, tending to her flower garden, reading, and arts and crafts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Edna Kay Collins and three grandchildren, Jason Dehart, Kristen Whitmire, and DJ Simms. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette Newman, Faye Collins, Donna Simms; three sons, Coy Newman, Jr. (Lori), Dale Sweatt, and Darryl Sweatt (Anna); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00AM Monday, July 24, 2023, at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Timothy Collins officiating. The family would like to give a special thank you to Village Care of King and Mountain Valley Hospice for their generosity to Edith and family.
