Edith Evans

Ms. Edith Meadows Evans, 79, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019. She was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on November 9, 1939 to Claude Eston Meadows, Sr. and Ella Fisher Meadows. Edith was a member of Southfork Baptist Church. She was retired from Wake Forest University Physicians. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Frances Pierce, Charlotte Miles, Douglas Meadows, Roy Meadows, Virginia Jolly, Ruth Brown, Evangeline Jones, Blanche Moseley, and Claude E. Meadows, Jr. Surviving are her sons, Craig Rogers (Pam) of Lexington and Kevin Rogers (Pam) of Lewisville; grandchildren, Taylor Rogers (Savannah) and Anna Rogers; and siblings, Genevieve Varnell, Eva Lewis, Charles Meadows, Marie Lewis, and Jacqueline King. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kevin Kilbreth officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
