Edna Krites Harris

Mrs. Edna Krites Harris, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her daughter's home. She was born May 24, 1919 in Forsyth County to James E. and Cora Myers Krites. Mrs. Harris was a member of Advent Moravian Church where she was also a member of Senior Friends and the Nettie Gobble Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie D. Harris; a grandson, Allen Cornatzer and his wife Donna; and a brother, Clifford Krites. Surviving are two sons, Bennie Harris and wife Linda of Winston-Salem and Wayne E. Harris of East Bend; one daughter, Faye Cornatzer and husband Quincy of Advance; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Virona Krites of Winston-Salem; and one sister, Lorene Williamson of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19 at Advent Moravian Church with the Rev. Keith White officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Advent Moravian Church, 1514 W.
