Edna Jenkins Mabe

Mrs. Edna Marie Jenkins Mabe, 98, passed away June 13, 2025, at Trinity Glen Nursing Home. She was born on January 13, 1927, in Guilford County to the late Clyde James Jenkins and Claudie Groce Jenkins. Edna retired from McLean Trucking after 20 years of service. She was very close to her sisters and they enjoyed traveling together throughout their lives. She loved the beach, playing cards, and cupcakes. Edna was a long-time member of Crews Church and was highly involved and loved her church. She had a strong faith and will be deeply missed by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by, her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Mabe, one brother, James Thomas Jenkins, and two sisters, Mary Ellen Jenkins Ensley and Betty Jenkins Ingold.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tonya Mabe, one son, Robert “Bobby” Mabe (Toni), five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and one sister, Doris Zavadil and Penny Moore like a daughter.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 16, 2025, at Crews Church with Rev. Gary Dekker officiating. Memorials may be made to Crews Church at 4150 Reidsville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
