Edra G. Gregory Beck passed away 4 October-2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Forsyth County. Edra was born 27 Nov. 1921 in Davie County to the late Burrus and Nellie Tutterow Green. She was preceded in death by her first husband William E. Gregory II and her late husband Posie ""Bud"" Beck. Edra was also preceded in death by a grandson Guy Russell Gregory of Winston-Salem, three sisters Elizabeth Green, Marie Hanes and Bernice Saunders, three brothers Bobby Green, Colin Green and James Green all of Mocksville. Edra retired from Hanes hosiery Mills after 35 years of service. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her church, church members and loved to talk about the gospel. She was a great source of Genealogical information for her family. Her hobbies were crochet, travel and dance. She was a dear Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, sister and daughter. Everyone who knew her loved her and she will be missed by all. Edra is survived by five sons William ""Bill"" (Shirley) Gregory of Winston-Salem, Ron (Linda) Gregory of High Point, Jerry (Judy) Gregory of Winston-Salem, Ricky Gregory of Winston-Salem, Larry (Stacy) Gregory of Mocksville and one daughter Barbara Gregory of Pfafftown. She has 13 grandchildren Kim (Chris) Albright, Wendy (Daryl) Hinshaw, Ronnie Gregory, Jenny (Mike) Norris, Adam Gregory, Angela (Dan) Fletcher, Bradley (Christal) Gregory of Walnut Cove, Stacy Settle, Savanna (Nathan) Click, Michael Gregory, Michael Hester, April (Brian) Davis, Ashley (Wesley) Carter and two step-grandchildren Tracy (Richard) Fuquay, Michael Strickland. She has 26 great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one sister Shirley (Bud) Stroud, and two brothers Kenneth Green and Wayne (Lois) Green. Edra had countless friends and neighbors who showed their Love and assisted in many ways. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Meris Gormley, Janice Tedder, Stewart and Ann Hiatt, Bishop Roy Turvaville and family and Pam Trivette for all the many extra things they did to help Mother. Mother knew her Redeemer lives and her journey is finished, her mission complete. Dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, mother-In-Law and Friend we say goodbye for a short time until we meet again. Visitation will be held Sunday 6 Oct. 2013 from 7:00-9:00 m at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC. (336-765-8181). The funeral will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4780 Westchester Drive, Winston-Salem, NC Monday 7 Oct. 2013 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
