Eduard Pichler

Mr. Eduard Pichler, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 01, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born in Reichenfels, Austria on February 26, 1932.  He was a loving husband, father, beloved Opa, and brother and was helpful to everyone.  Mr. Pichler was a member of the Senior Center in Mercersburg, PA, volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and playing cards.  Preceding him in death was a son, Kurt Eduard Pichler and several sisters and brothers.  Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Elisabeth Pichler; daughter, Gerlinde Nosek (Edward); daughter, Sylvia Benisek; son, Edward Pichler (Joyce); seven grandchildren, Alexa Romero (Gio), Sean Potter, Ethan Nosek (fiancé, Lisa), Rebecca Potter, William Benisek, Kaylie Baker (Mike), and Maximus Pichler; also surviving is a sister, Martha Knappik of Vienna, Austria.  There will be no formal services for Mr. Pichler.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8 Linden Ave. Mercersburg, PA 17236.
