Edward “Eddie” Richard Krueger, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on October 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Eddie’s life centered around the people he loved. His wife, Cinda, was the heart of his world. They met in 2001 and married in 2003, building a life filled with love, family, and little adventures. Eddie was a devoted father to Jacob, Alexandra, and Jeremy, and a proud grandfather to Nora. He was especially looking forward to retirement when he planned to spend his days with Cinda, caring for their beloved granddaughter.
Eddie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the son of Archie and Bernice King. He grew up alongside his siblings, Bill, Chris, Curtis, and Tammy, and graduated from Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1982.
His passion for football stayed with him throughout his life, and he remained a fiercely loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He also had a lifelong passion for cars, taking great pride in his classic red Mustang.
Eddie appreciated the simple things in life, like a good drive and time with the people and moments that made an ordinary day special. Though he was quiet and reserved, Eddie had a way of making friends wherever life took him. At every stop along the way, he left behind people who knew and cared for him. He had a steady, calming presence and a natural ability to make people feel safe, comfortable, and welcome.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Cinda Krueger; his children, Jacob (Logan) Knight, Alexandra Krueger, and Jeremy Knight; his granddaughter, Nora Knight; his siblings, Bill Krueger, Chris King, Curtis (Karen) King, and Tammy King; seven nephews and two nieces; his mother-in-law, Judy Barrington; his sister-in-law, Lisa Barrington; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Eddie is preceded in death by his mother and father, along with his father-in-law RC Barrington, Jr and leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by anyone fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
