Edward Clifford Fontaine, Jr.

Edward “Ed” Clifford Fontaine, Jr., 67, of Clemmons passed away July 5, 2023 after a valiant fight against cancer. 

Ed was born on November 30, 1955 in Tacoma, Washington.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marcia; daughter Dr. Erin Sandman (Joel); grandchildren Landon and Aubrey; sisters Susie Fontaine and Bonnie Williams.

Ed loved playing with his grandkids, kayaking, fishing and riding his Harley.  He was a member of the Iron Order Motorcycle for years and truly enjoyed the brotherhood. Ed also enjoyed participating with the Meg's Smile Foundation, helping advocate for children with serious illnesses.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
