Elbert "Bert" Miley

Mr. Elbert ""Bert"" Miley, 81, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Miley was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 25, 1934, to the late Herbert Miley and Ellen Abner Miley. Bert was a faithful employee with the Crosley Corporation for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed his work and was reluctant to retire. He was an avid participant of the Yadkin Senior Golf League. He was a fan of all sports but mainly the Cincinnati Reds and Carolina Panthers. Along with his parents, Mr. Miley was preceded in death by three sisters, Meryl Lindsay, Georgia Campbell, and Tina Ray. Mr. Miley is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary Miley of the home; and two sons, Mike Miley and wife, Carolyn of Ferguson, NC and Steve Miley of Key West, FL. A celebration of Bert's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Timothy Wolf speaking.
