Eldred Benard Burnette

Mr. Eldred B. Burnette age 84, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Regency Care in Clemmons. He was born July 10, 1927 in Loris, SC to the late James and Ludie Wright Burnette. Mr. Burnette was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and was retired from Dillard Paper Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hewett Burnette, a granddaughter, Debbie Burnette and a sister, Helen Scearce. Surviving are three daughters; Brenda Laxton (Marvin), Kathy Harrell (David), Janet Ridings (Mike); two sons, Jerry Burnette (Patricia), Mitch Burnette (Pat) , 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother, James Burnette and a half-sister, Sharon Burnette. A Graveside Service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. John Parks and Rev. J.C. Parks. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30 am Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Burnette Family.
